The Watson Scott Test is a mix between a common personality quiz and horror game. This game uses effective horror elements like scary visuals and sounds while asking you questions about your fears, propensity for lying and willingness to hurt others. The Watson Scott test will scare you while reading deeply into who you are as a person.

Personality Quiz

At its core The Watson Scott Test is a personality quiz that assesses who you are and what your deepest fears are. The questions usually start off quite benign but then become deeply personal or ask about how you would hurt others or your feelings during unconventional situations. As a trigger warning, there may be questions regarding suicide.

The questions are different each time. You will have to play through the game several times to get all of the questions. In the background you will notice scary visuals and horrifying sounds that amplify and grow in intensity as you progress through the quiz. These ramp up the tension and give this game a true horror edge.

Unsafe Feelings

This game is about testing your fears, but perhaps the scariest thing of all is the atmosphere. This game uses 3D spatial sound that creates an engrossing and terrifying environment. The visuals are just as scary and there are even some jump scares waiting for you.

If you want a game that makes you feel uneasy while talking about your fears, then this game won't disappoint.

Polarizing Fourth Wall Breaking

This game attempts to break the fourth wall to better immerse players, but it's had a polarizing effect. Some will find the fourth wall breaks to be very effective and it will scare them even more. Others will find this unconvincing and the game's horror will deflate as the player is distanced from the game.

This is largely dependent on your personal experiences. These elements only appear a few times, but it can dramatically change your perspective on whether the game is good or not.

The biggest element here is a jump scare at the end. If you have played games with jump scares before, then this may not be scary.

Short Game

The Watson Scott Test is a very short game. The quiz itself, regardless of which questions you get, is 30 questions long. Even if you read the questions slowly and really consider your answers, this will likely take 20 minutes or less to play.

The game extends its overall life by giving you random questions each time. This means you'll have to play several times before you see all the questions. The problem is that you will become habituated to the horror elements as you play longer, which means the sound and visuals might lose their effect.

Some people will see the short length as good. The game doesn't wear out its welcome. This game is best played every few days rather than playing it several times in a row. This allows the horror to remain fresh and prevents you from getting too used to the scary elements.
